There are...Quilt kits are definitely questionable. There are times that I like a quilt so much that I have a tendency to go for the kit (usually a small one). However, there have been times when you get the kit home, are excited to work on it and find that the fabrics are not the same. We all know that there is a disclaimer on kits (especially in the magazines) that fabrics can be changed due to availability. This is where I freak out. Mostly I like to choose my own fabrics because that is something I truly enjoy doing, but when I get that kit urge and the fabrics are totally different you could probably see the steam coming out of my ears. At that point the kit goes away to be dealt with in the future. I do understand that if the kit is popular the fabrics will run out, but it's disappointing.
